The best marinaded skirt steak and pollo Asada around ! This is my go to for both. Gave it only 4 stars because I saw the health violations and those definitely need to be taken into consideration but overall great meat, friendly employees, and great service.

On top of the integrity of their staff I was amazed, when I visited for the 2nd time the store 20 minutes later inquiring if anyone hass seen my wallet , when all of a sudden a wonderful lady holding a baby, while trying to corral 2 more, yelled at me from the door, asking me if I had lost a wallet so ,their clientele is amazingly honest as I had the opportunity to witness this miraculous soul shaking act. Great chicharrones by the way !

We've found our source for carne ranchera! They even add their own marinade upon request. We only bought the meat but it looked like they were selling cooked food and were making pastries. The entire vicinity smelled of fried pork and panaderia, even in the parking. It was truly a wonderful experience. Note that it's next to a used tire shop. But we didn't mind. Support our local small businesses.

This is a teeny tiny shop. A couple of grocery aisles, a selection of baked items (we were there for bolillo), and a meat counter. Our first visit the hot food counter was not yet open. The bollilo was very good. Basic, but good. Fresh. We returned sometime later (several weeks) for lunch. I deliberately held off reviewing this until we did lunch since I figured commenting on a bollilo by itself wasn't very useful. The lunch selection is somewhat limited. But more choices are shown on their price list than are displayed in their steamer trays. If you read their small list you'll notice "burro", which is not displayed. We ordered carnitas burritos with rice. I think they misunderstood and gave us carne asada, but that's fine. I didn't see that on their list, but that appears to be exactly what I got. They prepared them fresh. It was probably ten minutes before they were ready. Very traditional, no "enchilada style" or anything. Beef and rice wrapped in a tortilla with a half a lime on the side. The flavor was traditional also. Simple but good. Squeezing the lime added a really nice citrus flavor that blended really well. There are three tables, so it is possible you could arrive and have no place to sit. But it wasn't too busy when we visited. One group of four on one table, and a single on another. We had the last table. If you want a drink you walk over to the refrigerator case and grab one. When you're done you go to the register with your styro boxes (they write the price on the lid) and your bottles/cans from the fridge, and you pay the man. Prices were quite reasonable. Comparable to other small burro shops you find in Phoenix. Cheaper than Cafe Rio or Chipotle, and much more authentic. I think we'll be back.

Great prices, decent service and great food. Carne asada is affordable and cooked to order. They also sell household essentials like paper towels and cleaning supplies.

Their chicken is the best! We live on the opposite side of town and will make the half hour drive just to get some. Love it!
